Why I choose Islam

Why I choose Islam

In an interview with him in the German language, Professor “Hasan Gunter Al-Kindi” mentioned his journey from Christianity to Islam, a journey that was not easy at all, and which not only changed his personal life, and lifestyle but also his professional life, as he changed his place of living from Germany to Egypt. He loved Egypt and Egyptians, and may Allah have mercy on him, he lived most of his life in Egypt his life until his last illness before his passing away in Germany after he had to travel to be with and close to his family. May God have mercy on him, and dwell him in His spacious gardens.

Hasan Gunter said: “I was born in Berlin in 1948, and my father was an atheist and my mother embraced the Protestant faith. I was brought up in kindergarten and school-age Protestant, and that meant to me that I had to take a keen interest in the content of the Bible. And then it was proven to me that there are - in my opinion - contradictions between the New Testament and the Old Testament, but within the New Testament itself.

As a result, I left the Protestant Church at the age of fourteen and started looking for a new religion. The criterion that I took during my research was for me to deal with the tolerance of a religion that calls for the doctrine of monotheism, meaning that there is only one God, and I worked during my research in the beginning with the Buddhist doctrine, but it was defective in that it had nothing to do with the revelation of heaven, just as It does not advocate monotheism

Shortly before I traveled to Pakistan, I saw by pure coincidence on one of the bookshelves a translated copy of the meanings of the Noble Qur’an, so I bought that copy and read it.

And here I found that Islam had captured most of my attention, especially because it is a religion that clearly and firmly calls for the doctrine of monotheism, and this what I found confirmed my conviction that I believe that Islam is the religion that I can choose for my life because I have seen in Islam a way of life that includes all its aspects, And calls with clarity and purity to the doctrine of monotheism.
